What is included with your
Wildlife Food Plot Test Kit?
Your Wildlife Kit includes a sample bag and instructions
for taking and sending in a soil sample.
After testing your soil, we will
send back a report which
includes pH,
buffer, phosphorus, potassium, calcium, magnesium, and organic matter. A
fertilizer recommendation and an information sheet on your specific food
plot type will also be sent along with the results.
Why should landowners want soil analysis
for their food plot?
Food plots have a measurable impact on the size and success of wildlife.
Your food plot soils are constantly changing. The amount and availability of
nutrients depends on weather, removal of last year’s crops or clippings, and
additions of nutrients. Areas like new wildlife food plots should be tested
before planting to correct any deficiencies, and need to continue to be
tested to maintain proper nutrient levels.
